About RoadReview

Make each driving lesson easier to understand.

A route, a difficult situation, useful feedback: RoadReview keeps the context of a lesson available afterwards.

The starting point

Feedback needs its context.

Learning to drive means working through concrete situations. A note about a junction becomes more useful when you can find the location again and understand the instructor’s explanation. That is the problem RoadReview addresses.

The idea came from Aleksandar Jovanovic. He and Tilman Kieselbach developed RoadReview and founded it together. Dennis Schmidt was part of the early team. Aleks and Tilman are the managing directors today. The app is already used in driving schools; Family adds an invited, read-only view for parents and companions. The separate management product is in closed beta.

What guides the products.

Concrete context

A route and a recorded situation make feedback easier to revisit. Documentation should help the next conversation.

A clear role for each person

Instructors document, learners review, invited families read along. Family does not change ratings or direct the training.

Honest product status

A released app and a closed beta require different expectations. We describe available functions and their prerequisites separately.

Publicly documented

A product with a public history.

2024

Local reporting on the app

Neue Westfälische reported on RoadReview in July 2024. Aleks also shared the article publicly. The article provides historical context, not an effectiveness study.
