Connect a suitable adapter
The workflow uses a Bluetooth LE OBD adapter. The vehicle and adapter must supply the required values. A connection alone does not mean every value can be read.
A compatible OBD adapter can add vehicle values to lesson review. The available data depends on the vehicle, adapter and calibration.
Additional context can help discuss vehicle control: engine speed, speed, throttle or an estimated gear. RoadReview connects available values with recorded positions and situations.

Speed, engine speed, throttle and gear information can add context to positions or recorded mistakes. Gear is estimated and requires suitable calibration. Missing or implausible values need professional interpretation.
You can record GPS routes and situations without OBD. Review shows available saved values for the lesson or situation. The full continuous vehicle measurements remain on the recording device.
Three steps
Check the vehicle, adapter and supported values.
Test the connection and perform required gear calibration.
Read available values alongside recorded situations.
OBD requires a suitable vehicle and a compatible Bluetooth LE adapter. Discuss which values your setup provides with us. Estimated gear requires calibration; these data do not include the odometer reading.
Students use RoadReview through a participating driving school. New schools can register their interest; the enquiry does not automatically activate access.
No. Available values depend on the vehicle, supported data fields and adapter. The specific combination must be checked.
Gear information is an estimate with calibration. It should not be interpreted as a universally available direct gear reading.
No. Smartphone recording and review are the core product. OBD optionally adds available vehicle data.
