Innerortsfahrt means driving within built-up areas. Training and exam tasks include traffic observation, lane changes, turns and interactions with other road users.

In-town driving means driving within built-up areas, both during training and during an exam drive. Typical practice topics include:

  • anticipating pedestrians, cyclists and other road users,
  • lane choice, lane changes and turns,
  • adapting speed to signs, visibility and traffic conditions,
  • right of way and priority at junctions and roundabouts.
