Theory for the entry-level motorcycle class
RoadReview maps the class A1 theory curriculum per FahrschAusbO: the basic material and the class-specific supplement. If a student upgrades from an existing class, the system automatically applies the reduced basic material per enrolment.
- Basic material + A1 supplement, calculated per class
- Reduced basic material when another class is already held
- QR attendance with signature instead of a paper list
Basic manoeuvres and special drives, documented
Practical A1 training covers basic manoeuvres and special drives (overland, motorway and night drives). RoadReview counts recorded drives per type and shows each student’s status. The binding required quantities come from the licence-class catalogue — not from fixed assumptions.
- Counts per drive type with manual correction and history
- Required quantities from the class catalogue, class-specific
- Geo-feedback per drive: notes pinned to the exact route
Exam, record and parental consent
Because A1 students are minors at 16, parental consent is central: documents are signed via a revocable guardian link — no account needed for the parent. Exams are managed per enrolment and the training record is produced digitally as a PDF.
- Guardian signature via one-time link (also QR)
- Exam attempts with date, location and result
- Exam-readiness score as guidance — a recommendation, not a guarantee

Frequently asked questions
From what age is class A1 possible?
The minimum age for class A1 is 16. RoadReview manages minors fully: the required parental consents are collected via a signature link and documented.
Is the reduced theory curriculum applied when a class is already held?
Yes. RoadReview calculates theory requirements per enrolment. If another class already exists, the reduced basic material is used and the A1 supplement is added.
How are basic manoeuvres and special drives tracked?
The app records drives per type (overland, motorway, night) and counts them against the required quantities stored in the licence-class catalogue. Exact counts come from the catalogue; manual corrections are kept with history.
Can parents sign digitally for minor A1 students?
Yes. The student generates a revocable guardian link (also as a QR code). The guardian signs from anywhere — without an account and without installing an app.
