A course, not an exam — between B and BE

B96 is not a separate exam class but a course: a combined theory and practice session with no test-authority exam. It closes the gap between class B (up to 3.5 t combination) and BE. RoadReview runs B96 as its own enrolment with no exam record — the focus is attendance and completion.

  • B96 as its own enrolment on the student profile
  • No exam record — deliberately run as a course
  • Clear distinction from BE (which has a practical exam)

Combination mass 3,500 to 4,250 kg in view

Class B96 allows combinations of a class B tractor vehicle and a trailer with a total mass between 3,500 and 4,250 kg. In the fleet, RoadReview assigns matching tractor vehicles and trailers, including plates and technical data.

  • Vehicle and trailer assignment in the fleet
  • Practical course with geo-feedback on the route
  • Learning progress from the documented sessions

Issue the course record digitally

Instead of an exam, the course record comes at the end. RoadReview produces the training/attendance record digitally as a PDF with your school letterhead — audit-ready instead of a paper certificate. Key number 96 is assigned to class B.

  • Attendance and completion documented per session
  • Digital record as a PDF with letterhead
  • Key number 96 assigned to class B

Frequently asked questions

Does class B96 need an exam?

No. B96 is a course with no test-authority exam — a combined theory and practice session. RoadReview therefore runs it without an exam record and documents attendance and completion instead.

What is the difference between B96 and BE?

B96 extends class B by a course to combinations up to 4.25 t total mass — with no exam. BE is a separate class with a practical exam for heavier trailers. RoadReview models both separately.

Class B96 allows combinations of a class B tractor vehicle and a trailer with a total mass over 3,500 kg up to 4,250 kg — more than class B alone but below class BE.

RoadReview produces the course/attendance record digitally as a PDF with your school letterhead. Key number 96 is assigned to the existing class B — with no paper certificate.
