Document class C1E combination training. Truck plus trailer.
RoadReview is the driving-school software for class C1E training — the combination on top of class C1 with rigs up to 12 t. Because C1E needs no separate theory exam, the focus is on practical training, the exam and the record.

A combination on C1 — no theory exam
Class C1E requires a valid class C1 and extends it to heavy trailers. No separate theory exam is required. RoadReview runs C1E as its own enrolment on the profile and stores the C1 prerequisite.
- C1E enrolment on the same student profile
- C1 prerequisite stored and visible
- Vehicle and trailer assignment in the fleet
Practice with the rig — focus on driving
With no theory exam pending, RoadReview centres C1E training on practice: combination drives are recorded, rated and evaluated per student, with notes pinned via geo-feedback. Any class-specific requirements come from the licence-class catalogue.
- Practical drives with rating and history per student
- Geo-feedback and learning progress as for the base classes
- Requirements from the catalogue, not assumed
Time limit, exam and digital record
Class C1E is limited to five years and renewed with a medical check. The practical exam is managed per enrolment; the training record is produced digitally as a PDF with your school letterhead — audit-ready instead of a paper file.
- Time limit visible as class metadata
- Practical exam with date, location and result
- Exam-readiness score as guidance — a recommendation, not a guarantee

Frequently asked questions
Does class C1E need a theory exam?
No. As an add-on to class C1, C1E requires no separate theory exam. RoadReview therefore focuses the training on practice and manages the practical exam per enrolment.
What is the prerequisite for class C1E?
Class C1E requires a valid class C1. In RoadReview this is modelled with one profile holding both C1 and C1E — the C1E enrolment builds on the existing training.
What may you drive with class C1E?
Class C1E allows combinations of a C1 tractor vehicle and a trailer over 750 kg (or B with a trailer over 3,500 kg), provided the combination does not exceed 12 t.
Is class C1E time-limited?
Yes. Like class C1, C1E is limited to five years and renewed with a medical check. RoadReview keeps the time limit visible as class metadata.
