E-invoicing mandate 2025 Closed beta

The 2025 e-invoicing mandate — met without extra tools.

Since 1 January 2025, companies in Germany must be able to receive e-invoices and issue structured ones for B2B. RoadReview meets the mandate directly: invoices are produced as a ZUGFeRD/Factur-X document per EN 16931.

What the 2025 e-invoicing mandate means

The mandate under § 14 UStG requires a structured electronic invoice for B2B turnover instead of a plain PDF or paper invoice. RoadReview produces ZUGFeRD/Factur-X documents in the "COMFORT" profile per EN 16931 — a human-readable PDF/A-3 with embedded CII-XML.

One document for B2B and B2C

If an employer pays for the training, a structured e-invoice is created automatically; for private students the familiar PDF remains. The software picks the right format itself — nothing for you to switch over.

  • CII-XML embedded in PDF/A-3 (hybrid ZUGFeRD/Factur-X)
  • EN 16931-compliant "COMFORT" profile
  • Meets the B2B receive-and-issue mandate since 2025

From the invoice to the tax advisor

The e-invoice comes from the same service ledger as any other invoice and can then be handed to the tax advisor via DATEV export — as an EXTF file for download, with no cloud transfer to DATEV.

Participation & prerequisites

Frequently asked questions

Is my driving school affected by the e-invoicing mandate?

Since 2025 every company must be able to receive e-invoices. For issuing to B2B recipients (e.g. a paying employer) RoadReview creates structured ZUGFeRD/Factur-X invoices; for private students a PDF remains permissible.

Which format does RoadReview use for e-invoices?

ZUGFeRD/Factur-X in the "COMFORT" profile per EN 16931: a PDF/A-3 with embedded CII-XML. The same document is both human-readable and machine-processable.

Do I need extra software for e-invoicing?

Contact us to discuss conditions and access for the relevant product. Driving school management is in closed beta.

How does the e-invoice reach the tax advisor?

Via DATEV export: RoadReview provides an EXTF booking batch plus document PDFs as a file download. There is deliberately no direct cloud transfer to DATEV.
